Gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have attacked the Izombe Police Divisional headquarters in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State. It was gathered that the attack resulted in the death of five persons from both sides. Two policemen on duty and three of the invaders lost their lives during the raid. Confirming the attack, police spokesperson for the command, Michael Abattam, stated that the attackers whose plan was to bomb the station engaged the cops in a duel battle which resulted in lost of lives.
